Before the 2018 revision cycle began, the FGI Board of Directors contracted with the National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare, MedStar Health, in Washington, D.C., to review and provide evidence-based substantiation for requirements in the 2014 edition of the Guidelines. The results of this research were used by the Health Guidelines Revision Committee in developing the 2018 Hospital and Outpatient documents. We thank Kendall K.
