FGI is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing codes and guidance for health and residential care facilities. Our code and guidance documents are used for planning, design, and construction of hospitals, outpatient facilities, and residential health, care, and support facilities. FGI promotes the development of safe and effective care built environments. FGI partners with numerous other organizations to help develop practical, evidence-informed publications.
