Walt Vernon Resigns from FGI Board of Directors

Walter Vernon, PE, LEED AP, EDAC, FASHE, resigned from the FGI Board of Directors in May 2022 to pursue new volunteer opportunities. Long passionate about sustainability, energy conservation, and decarbonization, Mr. Vernon is committed to focusing his volunteer efforts on international and national organizations that are dedicated to these initiatives.

Mr. Vernon has been an active member of the FGI Board since 2013 and throughout his tenure influenced the strategic direction of the organization. He will continue serving on the Health Guidelines Revision Committee, the FGI committee responsible for developing the content of FGI’s Guidelines for Design and Construction documents, for the 2026 Guidelines revision cycle.

The FGI Board wishes Walt all the best in his new volunteer pursuits and is deeply appreciative of the time and dedication he has shown to FGI and the development of the Guidelines.
